Yes; there will be toilets situated every 6km at the start finish. There are permanent toilets situated at the start.
Yes; we will have a bag drop off, this will be at Race HQ.
Yes; both walkers and runners must have started the lap of the lake by 12:00noon
Your time will not be recorded and you will have been deemed to be a DNF. Drink stations will be left around the course if you do continue the walk or run and prize giving may have started when you finish. Our intention is to have everyone finished within 4 hours for the Canterbury Half Marathon Walk and 3 hours 30 minutes for the Canterbury Half Marathon Run.
Yes; there is a prize giving in each category for first, second and third.
To receive prizes, both category and spot prizes, competitors must be present.
We anticipate prize giving to be at 1:00pm.
Yes; there will be coffee and snacks available.
Soft drinks and energy drinks will be available for purchase during and after the event.
Our recommendation is that you don’t as you can’t take instructions from marshals during the event, and you may not hear vehicles when crossing the roads.
Yes; to do the Canterbury Half Marathon you need to be 13-years of age and 9km run/walk you need to be 7 years of age on race day.
No, sorry there are no refunds but you can transfer your entry to another competitor for a fee of $20.00 before Sunday 1st of December.
Should the event have to be cancelled due to force majure, there will be no refund of entry fee.
Yes; every 3km.
Sorry prams can't be used in the event, certain areas are narrow and with it being a lap course, prams aren't suitable.
